Paul N. Zimmerman

Paul N. Zimmerman, 87, of 1305 Weaverland Road, East Earl, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his residence.

Born in East Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Aaron Z. and Lizzie B. (Nolt) Zimmerman and the husband of Mary Ella W. (Martin) Zimmerman. He was a farmer and a member of Weaverland Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Paul M., married to Ruth (Leid) Zimmerman of Martindale, James M., married to Susan (Martin) Zimmerman; and John David, married to Katie (Martin) Zimmerman both of East Earl; a son-in-law, Aidin, married to Frances (Hoover) Burkholder of Fleetwood; 36 grandchildren; 112 great grandchildren; four brothers, Edwin and John Aaron both of Shiloh, OH, Benjamin of Plymouth, OH, and Lloyd of New Holland; and four sisters, Lena, married to David K. Martin of East Earl, Sarah Horning of New Holland, Lydia Ann, married to Joseph Martin of New Holland, and Esther, married to Isaac Martin of Martinsburg.

Preceding him in death is a daughter, Marian Burkholder; four brothers, Ivan, Isaac, Reuben, and Raymond; a sister, Ellen Zimmerman; and a grandson, Mark L. Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 9 am at the late home with further services at 9:30 at the Weaverland Old Order Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday at the late home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
