Pauline D. Zimmerman, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday evening, July 30, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Elizabeth Diem. Pauline and her late husband, S. Marvin, had four children: Sylvia (wife of Ed Jurgelewicz), Marvin, Jr. (husband of Linda), Glenn (husband of Tammi), and Wayne (husband of Maura). Four sisters and two brothers are surviving: Alberta, Arlene, Betty, Sadie, Robert and Ted. One sister and three brothers preceded her in death: Lottie, John, Marvin and Fillmore.
Pauline was blessed with eight grandchildren: Michael, Rachel, Erin, Jay, Courtney, Brant, Katie, and Ryan; and eight great-grandchildren: Ashley, Anthony, Logan, Liam, Ian, Jade, Leah, and Lorleigh.
A lifelong member of St. John Center Lutheran Church, she loved the Lord and enjoyed being with family and friends. Her passions were flowers, reading, jigsaw puzzles, socializing with everyone, and thrift store shopping. Pauline was well-loved at Garden Spot Village where she spent her last years.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. John Center Lutheran Church, 599 Reading Road, East Earl, with Rev. Robert Kramer officiating. Interment will be in Center Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 2, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Village Park at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, and on Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the Church. Contributions may be made to St. John Center Lutheran Church, address above, Hospice of Lancaster County, or to the Benevolent Fund at Garden Spot Village.
