Pearl A. Stubbs

Pearl "Sue" Stubbs passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, 3 days before her 99th birthday. She passed peacefully in her favorite chair, at her cottage at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA, where she lived for the past 28 years.


She was born in Adamstown, Berks County, PA on June 24, 1925 to the late Charles and Daisy (Zerbe) Trostle. She was the wife of the late Arthur G Stubbs, her beloved husband of 49 years, who died on May 5, 1994.


Along with raising their two children, Sue worked side by side with Art to built several sucessful business's, Stubbs Insurance and Garden Spot Auto Auction. She was a member of Adamstown UCC and Pine Grove Church and was active in the church and community as a volunteer.


Sue was known as smart, kind, funny, a prankster, a great daughter, sister, wife, mom, friend and neighbor. In her elder years, she was known for her remarkable memory and her no-filter spirit. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. She loved deeply and unconditionally. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.


Surviving are her sister, Joyce (Ray) Coldren, daughter, Pat (John) Weaver, daughter in-law, Susan Stubbs. Four grandchildren, Michael (Corina) Stubbs, Lauren (Joel) Wildasin, Geoff Weaver, Whitney (Dallis) Anderson and nine great grandchildren, Emma, Sadie, Elsie Stubbs, Treth, Nya, Ada, Taite Wildasin, Rex, Flynn Anderson.


She is preceded in death by her son, Randall G. Stubbs, her five sisters, Grace Youndt, Elsie Sweitzer, Fern Trostle, Helen Light, Hazel Reinhold, and two brothers, Howard Trostle and Arthur Trostle.


A sincere Thank You from the family to all those who helped Sue thru her journey home. Special thanks to Hospice Team Pink and to her amazing Lilac Ct second family, we are truly grateful!
