R. Phillip High


R. Phillip High, 74, of Terre Hill, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was married 21 years to Beverly Ann Hayward High. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy Hafler High.

Phillip was a member of Bethany Grace Fellowship Church in East Earl. He retired from Penn Ridge High School where he had been employed as a custodian. He enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture, listening to Gaither’s music and volunteering at the Reuzit Shop in Morgantown. He enjoyed knitting and over the years had knitted hundreds of stocking caps to be given to those in need. Phillip served in the U. S. Navy.

Surviving besides his wife is a step-daughter, Cheryl Ann Delloso of Quincy, MA; two step grandchildren; a brother, Dennis husband of Sue High of Perkasie; and two sisters, Pat High of Perkasie and Marlene wife of Michael Schempp of Perkasie. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Louis Delloso of Boiling Springs, SC.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Interment in the Bethany Grace Fellowship Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
