IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ramona R.
Larrabee
March 28, 1931 – December 16, 2025
Ramona R. Larrabee, 94, of New Holland, passed away on December 16, 2025, at Garden Spot Village. Ramona was born in Trenton, NJ, to her late parents, Byron M. and Emma (Gundlach) Rogers. Her late husband, Robert D. Larrabee, passed away in 2010.
To know Ramona was to love her. Those who knew her describe her as generous, gentle, patient, caring, kind, genuine, and lovely. She enjoyed painting, singing, birdwatching, and crocheting keepsakes for loved ones. She was a devoted wife and mother and was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Education was important to Ramona. She graduated from Bucknell University in 1953, which is where she met Robert. She was smart and dedicated to advancing education for women through her involvement with Philanthropic Educational Organization. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines for over 45 years and often spoke fondly of the lifelong friends she made singing in both the main choruses and double quartets.
Faith was a steadfast part of Ramona’s life. She was a faithful member of the Princeton Baptist Church of Penns Neck in Princeton, NJ, St. Paul United Methodist Church in Laytonsville, MD and later at The Community Church at Garden Spot Village. She enjoyed volunteering at church events and singing in the church choir, from the age of four.
Ramona is survived by her children, David A. Larrabee and his wife Carolyn, of Centerville, MD, and Susan L. Albohn, wife of the late Peter Albohn, of New Holland. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Daniel Albohn, Daniel Larrabee, Heather Larrabee, Megan Menkis and her husband Jon, Jennifer Schnader, four great grandchildren, and other beloved family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ramona was predeceased by her siblings, William Rogers and Margaret Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, beginning at 10:30am, at The Chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA, with Pastor Chet Yoder officiating.
