Ray L. Martin

Ray L. Martin, 91, of New Holland, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. Ray was born in Brecknock Twp., to his late parents, William G. and Anna (Lichty) Martin. Ray was married to Kathyrn H. (Good) Martin on September 1, 1956, and together they shared 68 years of marriage.

Ray retired from Moyer Packing Company as Vice President of Marketing. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray and Kathryn were members of the Community Church at Garden Spot Village.

In addition to his wife Kathryn, Ray is survived by his children, Timothy Ray and his wife Marsha, Thomas J. and his wife Joy, Charlene J. Johnston and her husband Mark, William G. and his wife Sharon and Robert L. and his wife Donna. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three siblings, Alice Yoder, Earl and Anna Day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry, Helen Parrish, Irvin, Irene Sauder, Milton, Cathryn Hurst, James and William.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, with Pastor Chet Yoder officiating. Family and friends will be received for one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM. Private burial will be held in Goodville Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
