Ray L. Welk

Ray L. Welk, 75, of New Holland, died Sunday, August 18, 2024, at his home. His fiancé, Rebecca Summers, survives.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Raymond L. and Sarah E. (Dearolf) Welk.

Ray worked at Acme Markets for 38 years, retiring as head cashier.

He was a member of the American Legion Conestoga Post #662, New Holland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and any outdoor sport.

In addition to his fiancé, he is survived by two step-children: Jeffrey Summers and Brynn Schreiver, (Josh), two grandsons, a brother Larry Welk (Chris), 2 nephews and a niece.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with Lisa Kurtz officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ray’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
