Raymond T. Field, 82, of 945 E. Main St., New Holland, formerly of Wescosville, was called home by God on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. His wife of 47 years, Eleanor J. (Kauffman) Field, survives.
Born in Weatherly, he was the son of the late Theodore R. and Hazel A. (Klotz) Field.
Raymond served in the U. S. Army for 19 months in Germany attaining the rank of Corporal.
He was a restaurant manager for Howard Johnson’s for 15 years and then for Dempsey’s Restaurant, retiring in 2004. Currently he was employed at Leola Village Inn. He was also a self-producer for Primerica Financial Services.
Raymond was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, New Holland.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Deborah Jean married to John Calabrese, Lancaster; Jeanine L. married to Jason Rebeck, Souderton; Rev. Jeremy R. married to Hilary (Yoder) Field, Royersford; four grandchildren: Brandon L. Rebeck, Kylie E. Field, Jenna R. Field, Cameron J. Field.
He was the last of his immediate family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 276 W. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 with Pastor Rob Stippich and Rev. Jeremy Field officiating. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, address above.
