Raymond E. Ulrich

Raymond E. Ulrich, 77, of Reinholds, died Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. His wife of 58 years, Janet M. (Burkhart) Ulrich, survives.

Born in Schoeneck, he was the son of Raymond M. and Olive Madalena (Newswanger) Ulrich.

Early in his life, he was employed by Skyline Trailers and Liberty Trailers. Since 1984, he was the owner/operator of Ulrich Sales and Service, Mohnton. He was a car and street rod enthusiast and raced cars at one point in his life.

He was a member of Hinkletown Mennonite Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Eugene married to Cynthia Ulrich, Sinking Spring and Jennifer Cruz, Sinking Spring, two grandsons: Joshua married to Stephanie Ulrich, Bernville and Anthony Cruz and his significant other, Jamie Spies, Sinking Spring, four great-grandchildren: Angel, Ryder, Lucas and Koda and five brothers: Luke, James, David, Mark and Carl Ulrich.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Peters and Evelyn Ulrich.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11 AM at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata with Glenn Sauder, Jordan Martin and Marshall Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM and on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the church.
