Raymond W. Weaver

Raymond W. Weaver, 73, of Kinzers, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his residence.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Franklin and Eva (Weaver) Weaver and the husband of Ella (Wenger) Weaver. They were married 52 years.

He was a member, and served as Deacon for 41 years, at the Pequea Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

He was a retired dairy farmer and worked for the past 10 years at Goods Store Distribution Center in New Holland.

Surviving in addition to his wife are six children, Nelson, married to Esther (Oberholtzer) Weaver of Colby, WI, Pauline, married to Barton Sensenig, III of Myerstown, Richard, married to Irene (Nolt) Weaver of Denver, Anna Mary, married to Harvey Brubacker of Colby, WI, Louise, married to Mark Martin of Unity, WI, and Elaine, married to Leon Horning of Newmanstown; 24 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a brother, Allen, married to Lena Mae (Brubaker) Weaver of Womelsdorf.

Preceding him in death is a son, Kenneth Weaver; and a great grandson, Elvin Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 9 am at Fairmount Home Farm Crest Chapel, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, Ephrata, with further services at 9:30 am at Groffdale Mennonite Church with the Bishop Curvin Z. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-8 pm at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel. Kindly omit flowers.
