Rebecca Lou (Garber) (Berg) (Petersheim) Hoffman was born Dec. 10, 1924 in Alpha, MN to the late Frank and Christina (Miller) Garber. She died on Nov. 28, 2011 at Brandywine Hospital. She was married to Ford Berg on July 19, 1946 and to this union were born six children. He died Oct. 17, 1963. On Feb. 10, 1968 she married Ivan Petersheim and he died Aug. 6, 1993. On June 20, 2003 she married Robert Hoffman who survives. She was a resident of Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. Her daughter, Ingrid Landis, preceded her in death. Surviving are her children: Christina Crabtree and husband Timothy, of Aldan, PA; Daniel G. Berg and wife Sharon of Mohnton; John G. Berg and wife Cindy of Terre Hill; Thomas G. Berg and wife Carol of Mohnton; and Timothy G. Berg of Narvon. Also twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The Petersheim and Hoffman families were loved as her own. Also surviving are four sisters: Willa Nafziger, Jackson, MN; Frances Ewy of Milaca, MN; Roma Schmidt and husband Leo of Hesston, KS; and Christina Bachman of Fort Dodge, IA. One brother, Duane Garber, is deceased. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at age 11, and sought to serve Him during her life. Her Lord and family were a great source of happiness to her. Her funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, at 11 AM at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 2286 Hopewell Rd., Elverson. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 10 11 AM.
