Reta Krick

Reta Krick, 79, of Bowmansville, died April 2, 2015 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born in Bowmansville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lizzie (Good) Gehman.

Reta graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and Lebanon Valley College. She worked as a registered nurse in various hospitals in Reading, Lancaster, Ephrata and Saudi Arabia. She had also been a tax preparer for H & R Block in Ephrata.

She had volunteered with the Literacy Council and for Hospice & Community Care. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and motorcycle riding.

Surviving are four siblings: Betty Martin, New Holland; Bernice Gehman, West Reading; Raymond married Elaine (Stymiest) Gehman, Bowmansville; and Richard Gehman, Bowmansville.

She was preceded in death by five siblings: Violet Gehman, Chester Gehman, Robert Gehman, Edna Gehman, Webster Gehman and her ex-husband Paul “Jack” Krick.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 10 AM at Bowmansville Mennonite Cemetery, 129 Pleasant Valley View Road, Bowmansville followed by a memorial service at 10:30 AM at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, with the Reverend Jonathan Yoder officiating.
