Rev. Larry "Harry" Charles Keiser

Larry (“Harry”) Charles Keiser passed away peacefully on November 15,2021. Larry was a family man. He loved his wife of 60 + years, Beverly and his sons, Darryl (married to Abby) and Wesley (married to Stephanie). Larry had three grandchildren, Courtney married to Christopher Bradley, Corbin and Dylan. He had the opportunity to enjoy two great grandchildren, Charlie (his namesake) and Jack. These relationships were extremely important to him.

If you had a relationship with Larry, you understood he loved being with people. This was very evident with the years of ministry he gave to both the Wesleyan and Nazarene church as a pastor. There have been countless lives that been influenced by him and his love for Jesus. In his past he enjoyed hunting with his family, saltwater fishing, and going to Penn State games. Even when he could not attend the football game, he would watch his favorite team in his living room and tell the team how to play the game. His spirit of hospitality was so inviting to those that came to his home through his cooking and trying new recipes. He enjoyed going to breakfast every Saturday morning at Town Hall Restaurant.

During his day, he would enjoy reading his Bible and also reading books that would help him understand the history of God’s word. He also enjoyed reading devotionals and books about theology. He enjoyed spending time with Bev and talking with her about his concerns and his joys. Larry and Bev had a marriage which has brought a heritage to his family. His yearn to understand Jesus more and more every day was the hope which kept him fighting through his health issues. Even when he was not feeling well, his routine of getting into God’s word was important. He conveyed this love for Jesus to others through a card ministry which he began once he was retired from the pastorate.

He was involved in three fire department: Cedarville, Port Elizabeth and recently, Garden Spot Fire Rescue. He was a chaplain in all three departments and loved to be available to all of their members. Recently, he continued this card ministry to the members of Garden Spot Fire Rescue. Larry was a man of God, a man that knew his heavenly Father would be faithful to him. He was a man that loved his family and loved others with a big heart.
