Richard R. Williams

Richard R. Williams, 88, of 245 Orchid Ct., New Holland, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital. His wife of 64 years, Elfriede (Heller) Williams, survives.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Margaret (Radell) Williams.

During the Korean Conflict, he served in the Air Force.

He completed his degree in engineering from Drexel and worked as a mechanical engineer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: R. David Williams, Indianapolis, IN and Stephen C. William, Cranberry Twp., PA, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel with Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
