Robert E. Clevely

Robert (Bob) E. Clevely, 82, of Denver, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Garden Spot Village. He was born September 28, 1932, in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Edward and Mary Clevely. Bob was the loving husband of Holly A. (Danielson) Clevely. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughter, Robin Timpson, married to Kevin, of Narvon; his son, Christopher Clevely, married to Alise, of Huntington Beach, CA; and 5 grand-daughters, Lauren, Kate, and Margaret Timpson and Zoe and Alexandra Clevely.

A graduate of Baltimore Poly Tech and the University of Maryland, Bob proudly served in the US Army in Germany and in the US Army Reserve prior to being employed as an industrial engineer for Dupont and Lukens Steel. Additionally, he consulted on real estate and land development projects in Lancaster and Chester Counties.

Bob led a life of continual public service. He was a chairman on the Advisory Committee of Local Government to the Lancaster County Planning Commission from 1978 to 1984. From 1978 to 1990, Bob served Caernarvon Township in various capacities, working as a chairman for the Police Commission and Planning Commission, elected as a Township Supervisor, and serving as the Township Representative and Member of the Chester County Solid Waste Authority. He was most proud of his election and service to the Eastern Lancaster County School Board. In his spare time, Bob applied his engineering skills to restoring old homes, enjoyed traveling (especially to Kiawah Island S.C.) and thoroughly loved being an active grandfather to his five granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
