Robert “Bob” H. Dailey, 75, of Churchtown, passed away on April 13, 2024 at Reading Hospital.
Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Ella (Rydquist) Dailey.
He attended Our Saviour Lutheran High School, then enlisted in the Army, qualifying for the 173d Airborne Brigade, serving in Vietnam. Upon completion of his military duty, he earned his BA from the Manhattan Institute of Technology and worked for Con Edison in NY as a troubleshooter until his retirement in 2010. He then moved to Churchtown.
Bob enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds in his yard, driving around the countryside, and, in his earlier years, sailing with his brother and family and bowling, skiing and playing tennis. He was also an avid Yankee fan.
He was a member of Bangor Episcopal Church in Churchtown.
Bob is survived by Christina Shepherd of Churchtown, who he first met in high school, his brother, Gary Dailey of Throggs Neck, NY, and his cats, Woody, Tiger and Rocky.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Bangor Episcopal Church, 2099 Main Street, Narvon, PA 17555 with Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman officiating. A time of visitation will be held following the service. Burial will be held in the Bangor Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
