Robert Bell Frailey, 90, passed away Sunday, November 23 at Garden Spot Retirement Village in New Holland, Pa. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Zanzinger) Frailey, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia in 1923, Bob was an Eagle Scout and World War II Navy veteran who later attended the University of Pennsylvania on the GI Bill, graduating with degrees in engineering and law. He had an illustrious career as a patent, trademark and copyright attorney in the Philadelphia area, both with Paul & Paul and as a solo practitioner.
Active in local politics, Bob helped establish a local reform Republican Party and held various elective offices in Newtown Township. An avid historian, he spent many happy hours researching family genealogy and exploring battlefields and forts.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Doris, children Beth, Jill, Carol, Lynne and Robert Jr., 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his celebration of life on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11:00 AM at the Garden Spot Retirement Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland PA. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in his memory.
