Robert James Frey

Robert J. Frey, 73, of Ephrata, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2024 after a brief illness at the Hospice Unit of the Lebanon Veterans Hospital.

Born in Ephrata, Bob was the son of the late Alvin L. and Emma Kathryn (Stone) Frey.

He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971 and then the US Navy from 1982 to 1987 and lived many places including California, Washington DC, North Carolina and Florida and came home to his home state of Pennsylvania in October 2023.

He loved the Florida sunshine, Disney World, photography and painting seascapes. He was always willing to share his family videos and pictures of years gone by so the memories weren’t lost.

Surviving are his two sisters; Bonnie married to James Witman of East Earl, PA and Brenda Baker of Long Island, New York, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister; Betty June Gravely.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W Main Street, New Holland PA 17557 with Pastor Deane Boyd officiating. A Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the time of service. Interment will be held in Memory Gardens.
