Robert C. Johnson, Sr.

Robert C. Johnson, Sr., 89, of New Holland, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Garden Spot Village. His wife of 68 years, Elizabeth (Shriver) Johnson, survives.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Tyler and Elsie (Miskelly) Johnson.

He had served as an aircraft mechanic in the U. S. Air Force his entire career.

A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, he enjoyed airplanes, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Robert C. Johnson, Jr. (Erin), Donald Johnson (Bev), Alan Johnson, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Johnson-Hicks.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Rd., Denver, PA 17517, with Pastor Keith Sweitzer officiating. Interment will be private in Mt. Zion Evangelical Cemetery, Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, address above, or a charity of one’s choice.
