Robert R. Reed

Robert R. Reed, 88, formerly of New Holland, died Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Ephrata Manor. His wife of 32 years, Carol (Gerlitzki) Reed, survives.

Born in Pellston, MI, he was the son of the late Martin L. and Norma (Brenneman) Reed.

He had been a self-employed truck driver throughout his life and attended Petra Church. He had served as a Corporal in the Marines.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two stepsons: David married to Jeannie McCardle and Joseph married to Cheryl McCardle, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and six siblings: Betty married to David Myer, Erma married to Wilmer Allgyer, Larry married to Connie Reed, Patricia married to David Martin, Keith married to Joyce Reed and Donald married to Kimberly Reed.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Reed and Wilmer Reed.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be private in Bridgeville Cemetery. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland, is in charge of arrangements.
