Robert Lingle Tressler

Robert Lingle Tressler, 91, of New Holland, passed away on June 24, 2025 as a resident of Garden Spot Village.

Born on March 18, 1934 in State College, he was the son of the late Wilber C. and Margaret (Mitchell) Tressler.

He was the husband of the late Jean L. (Robinson) Tressler, with whom he married on April 16, 1960 and shred 65 years of marriage until the time of her passing on June 18, 2025.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a steel worker for Fisher Welding in New Holland for 30 years. He was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was on the church council, property committee, a head usher, a communion assistant and offering teller. He helped construct the gates for Trinity Lutheran Cemetery and for Gods Littlest Angels Cemetery. He was a member of the New Holland Lions Club, State College Lodge F&AM #700 and a former Shriner for the Altoona Consistory. He enjoyed playing golf and deep-sea fishing.

Robert is survived by his children, Amy L. wife of Brad Burkholder of Reinholds, Robert L. husband of Lori Tressler of Bristol and James L. husband of Kelly Tressler of Reamstown and grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert III, Alissa and Benjamin Tressler.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Loesh and Donald Tressler.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W Main Street, New Holland PA 17557. A Viewing will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
