Romaine E. Moore, 87, of New Holland, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, surrounded by her loving family. Romaine was born in Salisbury Township, to her late parents, Paul W. and Edna D. (Diem) Diem. Her late husband, Vernon G. Moore, passed away on February 6, 1989.

Romaine was a kind and gentle lady, who loved her family fiercely, especially her granddaughter. She cherished being surrounded by her family and time spent baking and cooking for her loved ones. Romaine was a member of Pequea Church of White Horse, formerly Pequea E.C. Church. She was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Elvis and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

Romaine is survived by her children, Kenneth L. Moore and his wife Tina L. (Boley), Paula R. Redcay and her husband Joshua M., and her granddaughter, Sarah E. Bailey and her husband Collin, all from New Holland. She is also survived by her brother, Velner “Butch” Diem and wife Ruthie, of Lititz and brother-in-law Lloyd Reese, of Willow Street.

In addition to her husband and parents, Romaine was predeceased by her siblings, Vernon P. Diem, Eileen Diem, Veryl Diem, Glenn R. Diem, Aubrey “Pap” Diem, and Marion Reese.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Beck Funeral Home, 315 East Main Street, New Holland, with Pastor Jesse Bills officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM until the service. Interment will occur immediately following the funeral service in Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery, Gap, PA.
