Romayne L. Martin

Romayne L. Martin, 85, of New Holland, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the home of her daughter in East Earl.

Born in Berrysburg she was the daughter of Harry and Amy (Stein) Romberger. Her husband, Roger B. Minnich, died in 1971.

Romayne graduated from Berrysburg High School in 1946 and from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. She later worked for 28 years as a Registered Nurse at the Harrisburg Hospital and Dr. Lekawa Family Practice.

She attended St. Stephen United Church of Christ and enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with her children, crossword puzzles, and TV game shows.

Surviving are three children, Jane L., married to David Cowan of Chesapeake, VA, Thomas R., married to Beth Minnich of York, and Mary A., married to Cory Leaman of East Earl; and a brother, Norwood, married to Lorna Romberger of Berrysburg.

Preceding her in death is a sister, Mary Daniel; and two brothers, Merle and Theodore Romberger.
