Ronald E. Witwer, 74, of Narvon, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy.

Born in Narvon he was the son of James E. and Dorothy Mae (Yohn) Witwer. He was married in 1980 to Faye Ann (Styer) Witwer.

Ron retired in 1998 after 33 years as an Engineer at CNH in New Holland.

He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman and was a member of the Churchtown United Methodist Church, the NRA, Willow Run Hunting Club, North American Hunting Club, Chestnut Hill Archery Club, and the Beartown Rod & Gun Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kim Witwer of Reading, and Keli Witwer of Shillington; two step daughters, Vicky, married to Jonathan Kulp of Morgantown, and Cynthia, married to Carl Gundrum, Jr. of Reamstown; four grandchildren, Carl, III, married to Angela Gundrum, Amanda, married to Peter Caton, Rebecca Kulp, and Samuel Kulp; four great grandchildren, Ava and Vivienne Gundrum, and Seth and Eli Caton; two brothers, Robert, married to Betsy Witwer of Brownstown, and William, married to Donna Witwer of Sinking Spring; and a sister, Virginia, married to Ivan Hibshman of Ephrata.

Preceding him in death is a grandson, Jeremy Gundrum.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 10 am at the Churchtown United Methodist Church, 2170 Main St., Narvon, PA 17555 with the Reverend Dr. James Bamberger, the Reverend E. Earl Trauger, and the Reverend Robert A. Pope officiating. Interment will be in the United Methodist Cemetery of Churchtown. Viewing will be held on Friday from 6-9 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland and on Saturday at the Church from 9-10 am.
