Roseanna O. Newswanger

Roseanna O. Newswanger, 56, of 273 Shirktown Rd., Narvon, died Friday, October 31, 2014 as a result of a bicycle/motor vehicle accident near her Caernarvon Twp. home. Her husband, Jonas S. Newswanger, survives.

Born in Brecknock Twp., Lancaster Co., she was the daughter of Esther W. (Oberholtzer) Ringler of Denver and the late Amos K. Ringler.

She was a homemaker and a member of Churchtown Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three children: Matthew married to Luella S. (Reiff) Newswanger, Narvon; Andrew Newswanger and Rhoda Newswanger, both at home; five grandchildren: Derek, Landon, Alayna, Tristan, Alex; and 12 siblings: Harriet married to Aaron M. Weaver, WI; Emma married to Melvin Roy Hurst, Denver; Elva Burkholder, Ephrata; Edwin married to Darlene (Horst) Ringler, East Earl; Nancy married to Lowell M. Martin, Newville; James married to Anna S. (Newswanger) Ringler, WI; Elmer married to Susanna B. (Martin) Ringler, Blandon; Joseph married to Carolyn (Nace) Ringler, Mohnton; Luke married to Sandra (Redcay) Ringler, Mohnton; Glen married to Alice (Martin) Ringler, East Earl; Rebecca married to Russel H. Martin, NY; and Curvin married to Mary (Eberly) Ringler, Mohnton.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 5 at 9 a.m. at her late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Churchtown Mennonite Church with Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
