Rufus Z. Nolt, Jr.

Rufus Z. Nolt, Jr., 95, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata.

He was the husband of the late Bernice N. (Weaver) Nolt who died in 2013. Born October 11, 1930, he was the son of the late Rufus Z. and Lizzie (Zimmerman) Nolt.

Rufus was a member of the Lime Rock Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

He is survived by seven children, Emma wife of the late Lester Martin of Lititz, Raymond husband of Kathryn Nolt of Weedsport, NY, Elmer husband of Mary Jane Nolt of Mohnton, Susan wife of Irvin Weaver of Newville, Rufus husband of Nora Nolt of Ephrata, Warren husband of Doris Nolt of Lititz, and Bernice wife of Eugene Zimmerman of Ephrata; 40 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild; and seven siblings, Lena wife of the late Carl Martin, John husband of Vera Nolt, Miriam wife of Nathan Oberholtzer all of Ephrata, Mabel wife of Raymond Hoover of East Earl, Anne Mae wife of Enos Hoover of New Holland, Lloyd husband of Reba Nolt of Lititz, and Nora wife of Carl Burkholder of Seneca Falls, NY. He was preceded in death by five grandchildren, one great grandchild and five siblings, Martin, Titus, Etta, Lizzie and Emma.

We as a family, would like to thank Hospice & Community Care and Lincoln Christian Home for the excellent care they provided for Rufus.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30th, at 9:30 A.M. at the Lime Rock Mennonite Church, 99 Penn Valley Road, Lititz, PA with Bishop Quinton Wenger officiating. Interment in the adjoining Church Cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz, PA. Arrangements by the Groff High Funeral Home, New Holland, PA.
