Ruth Ann Bowman

Ruth Ann Bowman, 77, of Newmanstown, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Fairmount Homes. Ruth Ann was born in Ephrata, PA, to her late parents, Harvey S. and Verna (Horning) Fox. She shared 56 years of marriage with her husband, Raymond M. Bowman, who survives at home.

Ruth Ann will be remembered as the most generous person one could meet. She lovingly shared her home with anyone who wished to stop by for a visit or was in need. She worked as a registered nurse after graduating from nursing school, a career that she excelled at displaying her gracious spirit and caring nature. In her spare time, Ruth Ann enjoyed tending her garden, canning and freezing the bounty that she produced, reading, traveling and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed the company of her beloved pets.

In addition to her husband at home, Ruth Ann is survived by her children, Ruth Ann Stoltzfus, of MO, Philip Dean Bowman and his wife, Victoria, of Reading, PA, Sherri Lynn Bowman-Weaver and her husband, Derry, of Newmanstown, PA, and Jonathan Wendell Bowman, of St. Croix. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Walstrum, Megan Reichart, Allison Rose, Jordan Weaver, Jared Weaver, Jude Weaver, Cherish Keener, Hannah Smith, Sage Sensenig, River Bowman, Cove Bowman, and Meadow Bowman, and nineteen great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Jay Ervin Fox husband of Norma, Harvey Fox husband of Maryann, Earl Fox husband of Lois, Verna Good wife of Melvin, Vera Martin wife of Vernon, Lena Hostetter wife of Martin, Joan Nolt wife of Gerald, Stanley Fox husband of Janet and brother-in-law Samuel Stauffer.

In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Fox, Carl Fox, Arlene Fox, and Mary Ellen Stauffer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Weavlerland Anabaptist Faith Community, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, PA. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the church and again on Thursday morning for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held immediately following the funeral service in the adjoining church cemetery.
