Ruth A. Beam

Ruth A. (Stoltzfus) Beam, 92, of StoneCroft Tel Hai, Honey Brook, PA died in her home on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

Mrs. Beam was born April 16, 1926, in Elverson and was a daughter of the late David M. and Mattie (Smoker) Stoltzfus. She was the wife of Omar Beam with whom she celebrated 69 years of marriage on January 8, 2018.

Ruth loved her family and worked with her husband on their farm. Her interests included outdoor activities, quilting, traveling and hospitality. She was a lifelong active member of Conestoga Mennonite Church.

In addition to her husband are; five children, Ken (Ken Robinette), York, Barbara (Stephen) Wingfield, Mt Crawford, VA, Charlene (Peter) Rutt, Wellsboro, Diane Beam (Jaime Alvarez), Goshen, IN, Nelson (Marilyn Stoltzfus), Elverson; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Her siblings are Mildred Yoder and Esther Hostetler, deceased, Elsie Petersheim, Edna Martin, Grace Sensenig, Ralph Stoltzfus, Vera Styer, Romaine Stuckey, John Wilmer Stoltzfus and Fern Clemmer.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main Street, Morgantown, PA with Pastor Bob Petersheim officiating. Private interment will be at adjoining cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
