Ruth H. Hoover

Ruth H. Hoover, 18, of 552 Reidenbach Road, New Holland, formerly of Penn Yan, NY, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of Reuben and Eileen Z. (Horning) Hoover of Penn Yan, NY.

Ruth was a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, and she worked as a domestic housekeeper.

Surviving in addition to her parents are eight brothers and sisters, Esther, Etta, Samuel, Verna, Ada Mae, Marlene, Marvin Lee, and Reuben, Jr. all at home; and maternal grandparents, Amos and Ellen (Zimmerman) Horning of New Holland.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 9 am at the New Holland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Viewing will be held just prior to the funeral service. Interment and further services will be held at a later date at the Benton Mennonite Church in Penn Yan, NY. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
