Ruth N. Hopkins

Ruth N. Hopkins, 84, of 241 Cypress Lane, New Holland, formerly of Wallingford, CT., died Friday, October 12, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Pittston Junction, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Helena (Thompson) Powers. She was married 64 years on June 3 to Michael Hopkins, Sr.

Ruth retired in the early 1980’s as Bank Manager for the Savings and Loan Bank in North Haven, CT.

She was a member of the New Holland United Methodist Church, and the New Holland Women’s Club and she enjoyed knitting.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Ruth Jayne, married to Paul Romanowski of Sun City West, AZ; and a sister, Mary, married to John Klemenoic of Macungie, PA.

Preceding her in death is a son Michael in 1996; and two brothers, Joe and Billy Powers.
