Ruth I. Hunt

Ruth I. (Blose) Hunt, 94, of New Holland, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Garden Spot Village. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Richards, in 1973, and her second husband, William A. Hunt, in 2011.

Ruth was born in Pittsburgh. She was a member of Aldan Union Church, Aldan, PA, and worked as an accounting bookkeeper for over 30 years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and playing Bridge.

She is survived by her step-son, Kenneth W. Hunt, husband of Carolyn, of Glenmoore, and her step-son-in-law, S. Eric Beattie, of Berlin, MD; 5 step-grandchildren, and 8 step- great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Ruth was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Sharon J. Beattie, her step-granddaughter, Katelynn M. Hunt, and 8 siblings.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland PA 17557 with Pastor Chester Yoder officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-1:30 PM at the chapel prior to services. Interment will be held privately by the family. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
