Ruth M. Hunt

Ruth M. Hunt, 93, of 205 Orlon St., New Holland, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Hunt in 1982.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Moyer) Moyer.

Ruth retired in 2015 after many years as a library aide at Lancaster Bible College Library. Earlier, she had worked at the New Holland Community Library, now Eastern Lancaster County Library.

She was a member of Salem Bible Church, was an avid reader, and enjoyed fabric painting.

Surviving are six children: Lance A. married to Laurie Brobst, Knoxville, TN; Robin P. married to Patricia Brobst, Greenville, SC; Deborah R. Hunt, New Holland; Priscilla C. married to Gary Matz, Trevose; Robert L. married to Mary Hunt, Summerfield, FL; Jeffrey V. married to Debbie Hunt, Blairsville, GA; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a cousin Betty Spatz, Shoemakersville.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Moyer.

Her funeral will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 (TOMORROW) at 2 p.m. at Salem Bible Church, 590 Voganville Rd., New Holland with Pastor John Winterstein officiating. Interment will be in Voganville Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday from 1 – 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Salem Bible Church, P. O.
