Ruth S. Reifsnyder

Ruth S. (Shirk) Reifsnyder, 81, of Blue Ball, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. She was the loving wife of Robert Z. Reifsnyder, whom preceded her in death in 2010.

Born in Narvon, she was a daughter of the late David and Bertha (Wiker) Shirk.

Ruth was a teller and head teller for Blue Ball National Bank for over 45 years. She was also a member of Bridgeville E. C. Church. In her spare time she enjoyed card making, rubber-stamp projects, and spending time with friends and family.

Ruth is survived by her 4 sons: Robert S., husband of Terry, of New Holland, William S., husband of Marilyn, of Lititz, Richard S., husband of Chris, of New Holland, and Clifford S., husband of Shari, of Lancaster; 4 siblings: David Shirk of Mohnton, Robert Shirk of Narvon, Shirley Dull of Narvon, and Susan Stauffer of Honey Brook; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Shirk.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11 AM at Bridgeville E. C. Church, 5971 Division Highway, Narvon, PA 17555 with Pastor Kirk Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruth’s honor may be made to Hospice & Community Care of Mount Joy, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
