Samuel Z. Wenger, 92, a resident of Lincoln Christian Home, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
He was the husband of the late Anna W. Martin Wenger who died in 2007. Born in West Earl Twp., he was the son of the late David G. and Lydia Zimmerman Wenger.
Samuel was a member of the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. He had been a farmer and worked at Paul B’s for 12 years after retiring from farming.
Surviving are two sons, Nelson husband of Margaret (Martin) Wenger of Stevens, and Glenn husband of Rosalyn (Weaver) Wenger of Richfield; a daughter, Mary Jane (Wenger) wife of Eugene Wenger of Lititz; 22 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren; and three brothers, Martin Z. husband of Verna (Rutt) Wenger of Lititz, Willis Z. Wenger of Womelsdorf, and David Z. husband of Erma (Sauder) Wenger of Leola. He was preceded in death by a son, Leon Wenger, four great grandchildren, a sister Ruth Wenger, and a brother Norman Wenger.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 9:30 A.M. at Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, 200 Meadow Valley Road, Ephrata, PA with Bishop Quinton Wenger officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz, PA. Arrangements by the Groff High Funeral Home, New Holland, PA
