Sara Leid Newswanger, 85, passed away on July 19, 2026 in her residence.

Born in Caernarvon Township, she was the daughter of the late Aaron B. and Anna W. (Leid) Newswanger.

She was a member of Churchtown Old Order Mennonite Church.

Sara is survived by her siblings, Allan husband of Lizzie of Morgantown, Alice wife of the late Adin Zimmerman of Millmont, Mary Newswanger of Narvon, Ida wife of Ivan Zimmeran of Hahnstown, Eli husband of Lena Newswanger, Aaron husband of Kathryn Newswanger and Anna Newswanger, all of Narvon.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Martin husband of Ella Newswanger and Nora wife of late Weaver Nolt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Churchtown Old Order Mennonite Church, 2207 Main Street, Narvon PA 17555. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 189 S Poole Forge Road, Narvon PA 17555.
