Sarah M. Martin

Sarah M. Martin, formerly of Conestoga Street, New Holland, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Garden Spot Village where she had resided since 2010. Her husband Samuel H. Martin died in 2007.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late I. Herbert and Mary W. (Martin) Zeimer.

Sarah was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church where she had been active in the Sewing Circle.

She worked for Bo Jam Mfg. in Terre Hill as a seamstress for 50 years retiring in 1989.

Surviving is a daughter Miriam L. “Mim”, married to Leonard J. Martin, of New Holland, two grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Martin and Jodi L. Waltz, and two great grandchildren Abbi and Tyler Waltz.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Horning, Lizzie Sauder, and Mabel Good.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at10 a.m. at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 North Groffdale Road, Leola, with Pastor Tom Eshleman officiating.
