Sarah E. Reed, 95, of Jefferson Twp., PA, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Renee Nielson Burkey. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ralph E. Wayne, Ray Connell, Arthur Bischoff and Raymond Reed.

Sarah had been a Stanley Products dealer for many years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Holland. She was a professional musician and was an accomplished Bass player. She enjoyed traveling, listening to old records, reading, and talking to people about the Bible.

Surviving are three daughters, Saretta wife of Charles David Wert of Pottsville, Sharon McDaniel of Jefferson Twp, and Cheryl wife of Gerald DiCicco of Ephrata; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; a brother, Charles “Sonny” Burkey of Colmopolis, WA, and a sister, Barbara Combs Pendergrast of Parkesburg.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, at 12:00 Noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 530 New Holland Road, New Holland, PA. Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery, Downingtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Reed’s memory may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 900 Red Mills Road, Wallkill, NY 12589-3223.
