Sarah Joan Thompson

Sarah Joan (DeArmond) Thompson, 89, of Ephrata, passed away on February 16, 2023 in her residence.

Born in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. DeArmond and Hazel (Dolby) Felicioni.

She was the loving wife of the late Frederick Loring Thompson, with whom she married on October 13, 1951 and shared seventy one years of marriage until the time of his passing on July 9, 2022.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting, shopping and spending time with her family. In her previous years, she often helped with her children’s school and girl scouts activities.

Sarah is survived by her daughters; Linda L. wife of David R. Hopfer, Sr., Deborah A. Cook, and Tamela J. wife of Christie E. Burrell, a son, Frederick L., Jr. husband of Kimberly A. Thompson, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main Street, New Holland, PA. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
