Sarah F. Zimmerman

Sarah F. Zimmerman, 59, of Akron, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Born in Martindale, she was the daughter of Willis and Vera (Wise) Fox. She was married 40 years on July 13 to Carl L. Zimmerman.

Sarah was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, family, and camping.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Gwen Lohrenz of New Holland, and Mindy Zimmerman of Ephrata; a granddaughter, Sidney Lohrenz of Lititz; five brothers and sisters, Mary Jane Fox of Palmyra, Richard, married to Faye (Weaver) Fox of Clay, Anna, married to Nevin Zook of Rheems, Willis, Jr., married to Rose (Troop) Fox of New Holland, and Janet, married to John Hartranft of Nokomis, FL.

Preceding her in death is a daughter, Christine Zimmerman; a son, Neil Zimmerman; and a sister, Ella Newswanger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3 at 11 am at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville with the Reverend Jonathan Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 10-11 am.
