Shane William McGinnis, 57, a beloved husband, father, pappy, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories.
Shane was the devoted husband of Tina, who he loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. He was a proud father to his daughter Brooke (Brandon) and a joyful “Pappy” to his granddaughter Kendall, who brought endless light into his life. He is also reunited in heaven with his twin daughters, Emily and Allison.
He was the cherished son of Melvin and Linda McGinnis and a loving brother to Mel McGinnis II, Jebb McGinnis (Lisa), and Justin McGinnis (Lauren). Shane was a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews—Nathan (Desiree), Connor (Courtney), Carson, Tiffany (Steven), Madison, and Kailynn—and a great-uncle to Isaiah, Remington, Kaysen, and Journee, all of whom he loved dearly.
Shane was also a proud Mason, a member of Howell Lodge No. 405, where he shared in fellowship, tradition, and brotherhood.
He lived life fully and on his own terms. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast who found joy behind the wheel of his cherished 1963 Corvette, 1967 Camaro, and his 1930 Coupe. Summers were spent where he was happiest—out on the water, embracing life as a true captain. Whether boating, working in his music room, or simply being surrounded by those he loved, Shane created moments that will never be forgotten.
He was the kind of person you don’t come across often—the kind you never forget. Shane had a natural way of bringing people together, making every moment more meaningful, more fun, and more alive. He was the one you called when you needed a laugh, advice, or simply someone to be there—and he always showed up.
As a son, caring and helpful
As a husband, his love was steady and true.
As a father, he was strong, present, and a role model in every sense.
As a pappy, he was pure joy. And as a friend, he was loyal beyond measure
.
Shane was a hardworking marine mechanic in a way that spoke louder than words. He showed up every day, leading by example and teaching those around him the importance of dedication, resilience, and taking care of the people you love.
He lived with passion and purpose—reminding all of us to enjoy the ride, take the boat out, chase what we love, and, most importantly, love our people with everything we have.
There is a space in our hearts that can never be filled, but Shane leaves behind something that can never be taken away—the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love.
He will be missed more than words can express and loved forever by all who knew him.
