Shelly M. Martin

Shelly M. Martin, 70, of Ephrata, formerly of Narvon, died Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Lincoln Christian Home, where he had resided for the past year.

Born in Narvon, he was the son of the late Chester M. and Pauline W. (Martin) Martin.

Shelly was a faithful employee in the bakery at Shady Maple for 35 years. He loved people and had a robust memory for relationships and birthdays.

He was a member of Honey Brook Mennonite Church.

Surviving are five siblings: Fern married to LeRoy Allgyer, Jr, Whittington, IL, Ralph married to Naomi (Groff) Martin, Denver, Joel married to Martha (Huyard) Martin, New Holland, Grant married to Judy (Nolt) Martin, Newville, Bruce married to Bonita (Snyder) Martin, Narvon and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Honey Brook Mennonite Church with Bishop Wilmer Weaver, Brian Martin, Duane Martin and Nelson Nolt officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the church on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland, is in charge of arrangements.
