Shirley Stephens

Shirley Trevor Stephens, wife of Noel C. Stephens, peacefully departed this life on April 22, 2012 in New Holland PA . Born in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 6, 1924, Shirley received her BFA from the University of South Dakota, where she met Noel. The two were married on April 9, 1945 and recently celebrated their 67th anniversary. Shirley is succeeded by her husband and four children, Janet Stephens of Broomfield, Colorado, Susan Greenplate of Manchester, MO, Robert Stephens of Huntersville, NC, and Scott Stephens of Phoenixville, PA, as well as their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Stephens. Shirley was a homemaker, piano teacher, and active participant in community activities, a member of PEO, Mu Phi, and the Ches-mont Music Teachers Association. She was also a skilled seamstress, a creator of irresistible baked goods, and a much loved friend and family member. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 27, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA.
