Shirley A. Wright

Shirley A. Wright, 80, of Blue Ball, passed away on March 8, 2017 her home. She was the loving wife of Jay Carl “Cork” Wright. They were married 59 years on Oct. 13.

Born in Blue Ball, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul Z. and Tessie (Stolpun) Weaver.

Shirley worked as a homemaker, bank teller at BBNB and did Bookkeeping at TnT Bakery.

She was a member of the St. John Center U.C.C. where she served on the Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Blue Ball Lioness Club and enjoyed playing bridge, playing the organ, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by four children, Douglas, husband of Rebecca Jo (Deese) Wright of East Earl, Sandra K. Halpin of New Holland, Diane L. Duell of Blue Ball, and Steven G. Wright of New Holland; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2:30 PM at St. John Center U.C.C. 432 Reading Road, East Earl with Pastors Brad Haws and Tim Heritage officiating.
