Stanley Davis Brooks

An 80-year-old native of the Philadelphia area, Stan was a devoted husband to his wife, Rita, approaching their 53rd anniversary in June, 2026.

He was Dad to Jessica Brooks Pantellere and Meredith Bause, and Papa to Declan and Theo, the loves of his life. His sister Peggy Weldon also survives.

He graduated from Temple University with an MBA in Finance and retired from a 40-year career, most recently as CFO and President of a home healthcare company in Connecticut.

He was a lifelong tenacious fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, even when living out-of-state. He was a tennis and pickleball enthusiast, both as a player and fan. And a master at word games, winning over all family members at Boggle. Writing a sports article for the community newsletter was pure enjoyment even when his teams were losing.

Family trips to 38 National Parks became lifelong memories; traveling in recent years with Rita to world sites was a happy achievement; all while loving fine dining and food, especially Philadelphia cheesesteaks.

He will be remembered first and foremost as a gentleman and a kind, thoughtful, gentle man through and through.
