Stanley L. Crawford

Stanley L. “Jake” Crawford, 62, of New Holland, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 after a lengthy illness at LifeCare Hospitals of Chester County.

Born in Havre De Grace, MD, he was the son of the late George and Anna Rose (Mellott) Crawford. He was married 41 years on June 28 to Thelma (Irvin) Crawford.

Jake worked for almost 30 years at Sam S. Smucker & Sons in Lancaster as a mechanic. He was a member of the former Zeltenreich United Church of Christ and he enjoyed going to the Carlisle Flea Market and Car Show.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Kristi, married to Timothy Martin of New Holland; and two granddaughters, Katie and Emma Martin.

Preceding him in death is a son, Chad Crawford; a brother, Samuel Grace; and a sister, Kathy Breneman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, with Chaplain Stephen Weber officiating.
