Stephanie A. Schwetz

Stephanie Ann (Mellinger) Schwetz, 54, of New Holland, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Her husband, Gary Schwetz, survives. They had been married 33 years in March.

A life-long resident of New Holland, she was the daughter of Ronald and Anna (Forry) Mellinger, New Holland.

Stephanie was a Kindergarten Tutor at New Holland Elementary for 20 years.

She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and a loving wife, mother, and an exuberant grandmother. She was a compassionate person who relished making other people happy and serving others.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two children: Lauren E. VanSteenvoort (Elija), Elverson, Jonathan Adam Schwetz, New Holland, a grandson Jude S. VanSteenvoort, Elverson, a sister Pamela Fryberger, New Holland, and a brother Dr. John C. Mellinger, Pittsburgh.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 276 W. Main St., New Holland, with Pastor Ray Voran officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from Noon until 2 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
