Stephanie Ann Witman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephanie Witman, age 48, of New Holland, who left us at her home on January 4th, 2025, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Stephanie was the beloved wife of Reade G. Witman, who she was married to for 25 years. Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of April Ross of New Holland and the late Roger Covert.

For 17 years, Stephanie worked as a registered nurse at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, where she touched many lives with her compassionate care. She loved hiking, biking, yoga, reading, and cherished moments with her family, friends, and Labrador.

In addition to her husband and mother, Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Alyssa, of Brooklyn, NY, and her two brothers, Erik Covert (husband to Danielle) and Christopher Covert (Amanda), both of New Holland.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 2:00 P.M. at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA, with the Pastors Dan Sahd and Elizabeth Clippinger officiating. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stephanie’s name may be made to the WellSpan Ephrata Cancer Center, 460 N. Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
