IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sumac
December 17, 2024 – February 5, 2026
On February 5, 2026, Sumac bounded over the rainbow bridge.
We had to make the ultimate decision today and let our sweet boy go. Over the last several days, he has had so many seizures that they just became uncontrollable without being heavily medicated. At only a year old, there was no chance of the seizures getting any better with already being on the highest doses of multiple seizure medicine.
Sumac loved to give kisses and was most content being as close to you as humanly possible, on top of you was even better. He was the best big little brother to Sequoyah and his instant bond and protective instincts over us is was what ultimately made the decision that he needed to join our family. You could always find him leaning against his mommy or stretched out laying nose to nose with his brother.
He was the goofiest boy you could ever find, bounding around wherever he went and knocking everything over in his path, not realizing how big he actually was. He loved to be in the snow, eating as much as possible
Even though he was only in our lives for such a short time, we will cherish every single minute that we got to love him and forever wish we had more.
-Grant, Michaeline & Sequoyah
