Susan Joy Brubaker

Susan Joy Brubaker, 55, of Leola, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster, after a lengthy illness.

Susan was born in Ephrata, the daughter of James H. and Mary Anna (Diem) Brubaker of East Earl.

Most recently, Sue was a secretary for the Manheim Twp. School District. She previously worked as Branch Manager for the former Blue Ball National Bank in New Holland and also as Office Manager for Foundation Management Services in Lancaster.

Susan was involved in many activities and had a happy life. She was a proud member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Martindale where she served as Sunday school teacher, primary Sunday school superintendent, and secretary to the official board. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the shore, crafts, and reading. She leaves behind three cats that will miss her.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her son, Nicholas Cammauf of Lititz; three sisters, Linda, married to John Hanlon of Norristown, Holly Fritz of Reading, and Patti, married to Lamar Lutz of Indian Trail, NC; a foster sister, Hoa, married to Dien Buu of York; 10 nieces and nephews; as well as friends, Karen and Doug Roehm, goddaughter Kelly, married to P.J. Price.

Preceding her in death is a nephew, Aaron Fritz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 3 pm at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St, New Holland with the Reverend Barry Zimmerman and the Reverend Keith Mong officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday 2-3 pm.
