Suzan Wallin Bond September 8, 1943 - July 23, 2024

Suzan Wallin Bond, 80, of Lancaster, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Born in Shenandoah, IA, Sue was the daughter of the late Robert and Jeanette Stewart Wallin and spent her formative years in New Holland, Pa.

With a caring and compassionate heart, Sue graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S.N. and was a registered nurse. She also served others as a volunteer in both hospital and hospice settings locally and in Northridge, CA. In her younger years, Sue used her talents as a gifted artist to create beautiful oil paintings enjoyed by many. Throughout her life, she was devoted to both God and her family. She consistently put others first and provided a soft place to land for any friend or family member. Sue was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Leola and lived out her Christian faith loving others with a whole and open heart until the day she was called Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Bond of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Sandra W. Lease and Catherine W. Burton of Lancaster; and beloved niece and nephews, Kristin Lenoir, Andrew Burton, Travis Burton and grand-nephew Remington Lenoir.

Services and interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Holland, PA will be private however, the family welcomes messages of condolences to be left online. Contributions may also be made in her loving memory to Samaritan’s Purse.
